Ph.D. regulations and the Archives office (SCD)

Doctoral students should refer to link "space for doctoral students" in the pages published by the Agence Bibliograhique de l'Enseignement Supérieur (ABES) or national Bibliographical Agency for Higher Education to know the regulations applying to a doctorate thesis. It is important to note that a Ph.D. thesis is an official document and subject therefore to a whole set of legislation.

The layout of the thesis must comply with a number of practical requirements which are detailed in the guide for Doctoral students 2013 (pdf - 976 Ko) published by the ABES

Theses in progress are soon to be identified and listed in the STAR software (Signalement des Thèses électroniques, Archivage et Recherche) which is managed by the ABES. Data collected in this way will facilitate depositing of the thesis in digital format.

- The final deposit of the thesis is obligatory and must be made by the Ph.D. graduate following the procedures specified by the Service Commun de Documentation.

Finally, for those unable to attend the Doctorate conferral ceremony, you can collect your Doctorate diploma under the following procedure: procedure for collecting your doctorate diploma (pdf - 120 Ko).
