The EDENE doctoral program

Apply until March 31, 2021

The EDENE program, laureate of the H2020 Marie Curie COFUND calls for projects, will finance PhD projects proposing innovative solutions for energy and the environment in the broad sense in the disciplines for which the UPPA, the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, is recognized: in Sciences and Technologies and in Social and Human Sciences.

A word of welcome from the director

Dear PhD students (or future PhD students) and dear supervisors (or future supervisors), welcome to the website of the Doctoral School of Exact Sciences and their Applications (ED 211 SEA).

ED 211 SEA currently gathers about 320 PhD students belonging to one of the research laboratories of the « Université of Pau et des Pays de l'Adour » (UPPA) in the field of sciences and their applications:

  • Chimie / Matériaux / Environnement / Biologie: IPREM
  • Géoénergies / Sciences de l'ingénieur: DMEX; LATEP; LFCR; SIAME
  • Mathématiques et leurs interactions: LMAP
  • Sciences agronomiques et écologiques: ECOBIOP; NUMEA
  • Sciences et technologies de l'information et de la communication: LIUPPA

The aim of a doctoral school is to support the PhD students and their supervisors throughout the PhD process, from the time of application to the PhD offer to the defense of the dissertation.

It ensures that you, PhD students, have a working environment conducive to the completion and success of your doctoral project. The training courses offered (150 hours over 3 years) will enable you to acquire multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary skills (in accordance with the 22-02-2019 decree). Combined with the scientific excellence you will acquire during your research work, these courses aim to facilitate your professional integration in the academic world as well as the professional world, and to enable you to think about your future from an international perspective.

I would like to encourage you to succeed in this demanding and exciting undertaking that is the preparation of a thesis.
