Training programme

The Doctoral School of Exact Sciences and their Applications (ED211) offers the Ph.D. student a training programme which is not only useful for their research project and their professional career plan but which also gives them a broad scientific culture. The programme is divided into three main training blocks: science, languages and career paths.

Each doctoral student must fill out their course form (see on intranet), which records all courses you have attended during each year of your Ph.D. programme. This form will need to be accompanied by written proof or certificates of attendance for every course attended, except for those courses which are obligatory. This form must be handed in to the Doctoral School for validation before your Ph.D. viva or final oral examination.  Please note that our Doctoral School (ED 211) and the MDE Doctoral School of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) have been working in close partnership for several years. The training programme offered by the UPV/EHU is open to all UPPA Ph.D. students without extra registration fees, just as our ED211 training programme is open to all Ph.D. students from the UPV/EHU in the same way. Doctoral students interested in these UPV/EHU courses should contact Alberto Carrera Ruiz at the following address: alberto.carrera @
