  • 3 modules to complete, preferably during the first year:

 

  • Ethics and Research Integrity

 

Mandatory AI training:

•How to Use Generative AI in Research (7h)

You must complete 1 of the following MOOC:

•MOOC Research Ethics – Université de Lyon (15h)

•MOOC Research Integrity – Université de Bordeaux (15h)

  • Literature Search Tools and Publication Rules

 

You must complete 1 of the following courses:

•Scientific Literature Search and Publication (6h)
(not opened 2026/27)

•Journées UPPA Science Ouverte (6h)

  • PhD Methodology

 

You must complete 1 of the following courses:

•Conduire son projet de thèse (7h)

•Conduct my PhD in project mode (6h)

•Time management (6h)

You must complete 1 of the following courses or activities:

•Crossborder Doctoriales UPV/EHU, UNIZAR/UPPA, IBERUS or equivalent (15h to 24h)

•Public Speaking for scientists (14h)

•Ma Thèse en 180 secondes (40h)  

•My 3mn PhD (40h)

  • Management and Entrepreneurship

 

You must complete 1 of the following courses or activities:

•Séminaire sensibilisation à l'entrepreneuriat (6h)

•Challenge Starthèse/Matur’UP (40h)

•Hackathon Doctorants & Entreprises (20h)

•Entrepreneurship trainings UNITA (depending on the course) 

•Becoming a manager in a research team (13h) 

•Développer ses compétences managériales dans le cadre du parcours doctoral (13h)

  • Career Development

 

You must complete 1 of the following courses or activities:

•Séminaires Insertion professionnelle (BAIP ou APEC)

•BAIP or APEC Webinars (at least 9h)

•Cap Docteur Webinars  (at least 9h)

•PhDOOC MOOC PhD and Career Development (15h)

  • Thesis Dissemination and Open Science

 

You must complete the 2 following courses before your PhD defense:

•Disseminating Your Thesis  (1h)

•Depositing Your Research in HAL Open Archive (1h)
